Can you be a ‘Lifeline’ to others?

Premier Lifeline: the National Christian Helpline is a confidential telephone helpline offering emotional and spiritual support from a Christian perspective along with a listening ear and prayer.

For over 22 years, Premier Lifeline has been available to take calls from people wanting someone to talk to and in need of help. In that time we have taken over 1.3 million calls.

To meet the ever increasing number of calls, we are seeking to dramatically increase the number of volunteers at Premier Lifeline over the next few years from our existing 130 volunteers to over 500, so that we are always able to be there for everyone who calls in need of support and prayer.

Do you have what it takes to be a volunteer with Premier Lifeline?

Volunteers are at the heart of Premier Lifeline - without our volunteers the service would not exist.

Can you be a 'Lifeline' to those in need of help and support?

We are looking for committed, caring and considerate people to become volunteer Lifeline listeners. You need to have access to a landline telephone and be able to offer a regular commitment of 4 hours per week.

You will be fully trained by experienced trainers to prepare you for your role and will receive on-going support.

Praying for Premier Lifeline

Prayer makes a difference and Premier Lifeline needs your prayers!

As we seek to dramatically expand the ministry of Premier Lifeline, it is crucial that this is covered in prayer. With the increasing number of calls and desperate need for more resources to meet demand, we know this battle is a spiritual one and that is why we are calling you to pray.

Will you stand with Premier Lifeline in Prayer?

In the next 12 months Premier Lifeline will receive over 152,000 calls and we are asking you to pray for the Lifeliners who will answer the calls, the staff who train and support the Premier Lifeline Team, and for those who call in need of help and support.

Premier Lifeline also desperately needs more resources to train volunteers and support the Lifeline team so that we can achieve our vision of making it available 24/7. We trust that God will release the resources needed and are calling on you to stand with us in prayer.

"For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer"
1 Peter 3.12

It’s great to be on the front line of Christian ministry, but it can certainly be challenging and we need your ongoing prayer support.

Are you willing to join with us to underpin the ministry of Premier Lifeline with prayer?

If so, you can apply to join the Premier Prayer Team as a Prayer Partner here.

Thank you for your support in prayer.

Supporting Premier Lifeline

Premier Lifeline: the National Christian Helpline is a confidential telephone helpline offering emotional and spiritual support from a Christian perspective along with a listening ear and prayer.

For over 22 years, Premier Lifeline has been available to take calls from people wanting someone to talk to and in need of help. In that time we have taken over 1.3 million calls.

To meet the ever increasing number of calls, we are seeking to grow our service to ensure that everyone who needs help from Premier Lifeline is able to receive it when they call.

To enable Premier Lifeline to grow to meet this need more resources are desperately needed to expand this vital service.

It will cost approximately £382,500 this year to fund Premier Lifeline (increasing incrementally each year as we grow the service). This includes our operational costs, support staff and trainers so that we can train more volunteers, and support the Lifeline Team as they take calls.

Our aim over the next five years is to make Premier Lifeline available 24/7 and answer the calls of all those in need from across the United Kingdom. We need your help over the coming years to fulfil this aim.

Do you know what's the cost for each call made to Premier Lifeline?

£2.50 for each call made to Premier Lifeline

We believe that we must be there at the caller’s point of need.

Can you prayerfully provide a gift to help fund Premier Lifeline: the National Christian Helpline?

Your support will make a powerful difference for hundreds of thousands across the UK who are in need of Christ’s hope and help!

Thank you for your generosity.
